Introducing the UDSC Board for 2025/2026!
Our mission is to strengthen the connection between academia and industry in data science and AI. Over this academic year, we aim to offer students and professionals alike inspiring events, fresh perspectives, and meaningful networking opportunities.
The first this year Utrecht Data Science Community (UDSC) Symposium โ “Data Science in 2030 โ Redefining the Future” โ was an absolute success! ๐
With 96+ attendees, an amazing lineup of speakers, and inspiring discussions on AI, data science, and innovation, we couldn’t have asked for a better start to this journey!
We are excited to announce that in early February 2025, we will be hosting a special event in collaboration with the Faculty of Science. This will be a unique opportunity for students to connect with the corporate world and prepare for their future careers.

ann LeCun, Chief AI Scientist at Meta, argues that the future of human-level intelligence lies in Joint Embedding Predictive Architectures (JEPAs) rather than generative AI like large language models (LLMs).
